Background: | Xavier Michaels entered
the pro wrestling business in the spring/summer of 1999 at the age of 24
years. After spending two years in ECCW, a Canadian branch of the National
Wresling Alliance, Xavier was signed by President Billy Todd of the AIWF
and immediately given a chance to shine along with some of the other new
talent.
As X-Factor, Xavier began a brutal feud with the demented Gargoyle who executed his promo's from garbage dumps and who took his pre-game advice from a rat called Ritz who also acted as his manager, yes he is a real rat. X-Factor and Gargoyle never got to finish their feud as fate intervened and interference was provided by none other than the Outlawz leader himself, Loco. Loco had business with Gargoyle and that is what ignited Gargoyle's classic feud with the Outlawz. Meanwhile X-Factor continued defeating several wrestlers including Sandman and earned a spot in the federation's spectacular Wrestle War PPV and a battle royal which would determine the Number One Contender to the companies most cherished prize, the AIWF World Heavyweight Championship Title. X-Factor would surprise everyone in the pro wrestling business as he managed to outlast and emerge the winner and now it would be set. He would face the champion the next night at the Monday Card. In another shocking turn of events AIWF superstars Blade and Champion Cobra had been feuding for the last several months in an attempt to destroy the others but on this night at Wrestle War '99 Blade would push away all the doubters as he finally defeated the ICON with the help of the Corporation. So it would be the rookie X-Factor versus the veteran Blade for the World Title. No one was prepared for what would happen next, X-Factor shocked everyone by capturing his first ever championship title as he used his soon to be patented X-Terminator powerbomb to defeat the newly crowned Champion. Soon after though the Corporation came down to the ring and offered the rookie World Champion membership and again shocking everyone X-Factor accepted and his destiny within the AIWF would be sealed. He was now Corporate. Unfortunately X-Factor would only hold onto the World Title for a month as he was beaten by Apollo which shocked everyone who believed X would carry the company into the millennium as their mega-superstar. Apollo was soon after defeated by Loco. X-Factor went on to capture three AIWF Intercontinental Championships and form Generation X with partner Excalibur. They began a short lasting feud with Mysterious for the tag team titles but it was apparent that the two egotistical men could no longer function as a team. They would soon split. The AIWF was experiencing some financial difficulties as President Todd was finding it difficult to locate corporate sponsorship, with his company falling all around him he made the difficult decision to fold the company. The final PPV featured a First Blood Match which featured X-Factor battling his ultimate nemesis in Cobra for the World Title, the match ended in a Double DQ as both men drew blood from each other at the same time. The AIWF was done and finished, it was now time to find a new home. Xavier was soon signed to a multi-year contract by the newly formed IHWA, which signed several wrestlers from the defunct AIWF as well as new talent. The inaugural PPV featured the finals of a tournament designed to crown the companies first ever IHWA World Heavyweight Champion. X-Factor would face Mad Dragon in the finals in a Hell of a Cell Match. It would go down as a classic for the ages as Dragon emerged Champion and X led away in a stretcher. X-Factor struggled through the first year in the IHWA as he tried to re-capture the magic which made him into the AIWF Champion and mega-star. He even went through a personality change as he joined up with the Burning Demons as the demented psychotic Minion. During the fall and winter of 2000, X-Factor returned from an injury sustained in a looser leaves IHWA match against the Damnation member Sinastas as Sin threw him against a flame covered ring and scorched the man's face! He would leave for three months and return in September to re-form one of the greatest stables of all time, the Corporation. Along with Wildebeast Wilson, Red Leaf Express, Gargoyle, and Blue Tornado the five men led the IHWA in a battle to overthrow the current overlords in Deep Impact. But after a few weeks of disappointment and bitterment and a hardcore feud with his second tour of duty in the AIWF opponent Mike Action, X once more turned a different direction and formed the Alliance with Mike Action, Kid Suicide, Mike Xtreme, and Jay Miller. X-Factor wanted to be a teacher and help promote the youth of the IHWA, for the next several months opponents would soon know what it felt like to be "Screwed By The Future!" X-Factor also had his first taste of IHWA gold as he captured the IHWA Hardcore Championship Title against both partner Mike Action and the man who held it Dope Static. In March 2001 the Alliance split apart as X-Factor returned from another injury, this time sustained in yet another classic Four Boxes Match, and announced that he would be making a run for his dream, the belt in which he had yet to capture in since the summer of 1999, the IHWA World Title. He steamed rolled through several opponents capturing another Hardcore Title and another IHWA United States/Canadian Title which according to front office rules designated him Number One Contender. Three months after he began his quest, he would finally achieve the dream as he defeated the unstoppable maniac Asylum with a small package becoming for the first time the IHWA World Heavyweight Champion. He would loose the belt though back to Aslyum a week later during Summer Sizzler in a Triple Threat involving Aslyum, X-Factor, and Ryan Fischer. Now X has just captured his third US/Canadian Championship and looking to capture his third Hardcore Championship as well as he faces Jonathon at the upcoming PPV. His ultimate goal as always is winning the IHWA World Championship Title. This year has truly been the age of X-Factor! |
